• Authorities have announced that Doha’s Corniche Street will be closed to vehicular traffic in both directions from November 26 until December 4. Traffic will be diverted to alternative routes. For a detailed map showing the closure, click here. 
• The measure is part of a number of activities being hosted in the area in conjunction with Qatar’s hosting of the FIFA Arab Cup 2021, which will bring together 16 soccer teams from across the Arab world between November 30-December 17.  
• Additionally, the Public Works Authority will also be conducting construction work in the area during this period.  
• Public transportation services including Mowasalat (Karwa) buses and Doha Metro services will continue to operate in the area. 

Those planning to travel along Doha’s Corniche Street and nearby streets between November 26 and December 4 are advised to seek alternative routes and allot extra time for travel near the street, given the planned road closures and potential for traffic congestion.
