Tunisia Tactical (UPDATE): Authorities revise nationwide curfew timings to between 00:01 (local time)-05:00 from August 19; adhere to government instructions

Please be advised:

  • According to Tunisia’s state news agency, the government has decided to revise the timings of the ongoing nationwide night curfew. Beginning on August 19, the daily curfew will now be implemented between 00:01 (local time) and 05:00 until further notice.  
  • The following restrictions have been amended: 
    • Travelers coming to Tunisia via land, air, and sea borders must enter into ten-day mandatory self-quarantine as well as present a negative PCR test certificate. The test must have been taken within 72 hours of the time of arrival.  
    • Fully vaccinated individuals will be exempt from self-quarantine. 
    • All restaurants and cafes have to close down every day at 22:00.
  • The complete ban on the movement of people and vehicles during the curfew period will continue to be implemented. 
  • All family, private, and public gatherings in open or closed spaces will continue to be prohibited. Fully vaccinated individuals will be allowed to attend gatherings in public spaces while abiding by health guidelines.  
  • These measures have been introduced in order to contain the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic across Tunisia.

Recommendations:

Those operating or residing in Tunisia from August 19 onwards are advised to adhere to government instructions and take necessary precautions to ensure business continuity due to the amendment of the night curfew timings and other COVID-19-related regulations.
