- Reports incorporating picture material indicate that participants in the high hundreds have currently gathered at Tunis’ Habib Bourguiba Avenue during the afternoon hours (local time) of September 18.
- They are denouncing President Kais Saied’s July 25 decision to suspend the work and powers of the parliament.
- Supporters of President Saied are reportedly staging a counterdemonstration in the vicinity of the area.
- At the time of writing, there is no unrest. A heightened deployment of security forces is present in the area.
