Tunisia Tactical (UPDATE): TunisAir employees suspend strike during night hours of February 19; travel can continue as normal

Please be advised:

  • Reports indicate that the TunisAir employees’ union under the Tunisian General Labour Union (UGTT) called for a suspension of the strike and a resumption of all activity during the night hours of February 19. 
  • The union reached an agreement with the government to hold a meeting and study the situation regarding the airline’s debts. The government agreed to lift the proposed debt seizures from TunisAir’s bank accounts.

Recommendations:

Those intending to travel to and from Tunisia on February 20 can continue operations as normal.
