MENA Alert: UKMTO reports ‘security incident’ off coast of Yemen during morning hours on December 5; avoid all travel to area
Current Situation:
- The UK Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) stated that it received reports of a “security incident” 15 nautical miles southwest of Yemen during morning hours (local time) on December 5.
- A vessel reported sighting a small craft at a distance of one to two cables (0.1 to 0.2 nautical miles) and claimed it came under fire.
