Current Situation: 

Pro-Palestinian activists have called for protests in Bahrain and Turkey between December 26-27 to express solidarity with the Palestinian cause.

December 26 

• In Bahrain, the ‘Bahraini Society for Resisting Normalization’ has announced a mass sit-in protest scheduled for 15:30 (local time) on December 26 outside its headquarters in Manama’s Adliya. 

December 27 

• In Turkey, the ‘Resistance Tent’ group is organizing a protest on December 27 at 16:00 on Sakarya Street, in Ankara’s Kizilay district, demanding Israel’s recognition be revoked, a full embargo imposed, and opposing the Trump Peace Plan. 
• Additionally, ‘BDS Turkey’ is organizing a protest on December 27 at 17:00 at Tunel Square at Istanbul’s Beyoglu District, to oppose the Trump Peace Plan, and condemning Israel’s actions in the Palestinian Territories. 

1. Those operating or residing in Bahrain and Turkey on December 26-27 are advised to maintain heightened vigilance and allot for disruptions due to the slated protests and associated risk of unrest.  
2. American and Israeli nationals and Jewish individuals are advised to maintain a low profile in public and avoid revealing their identities, as well as their religious and political affiliations.
