• The Kolkata Traffic Police issued an advisory in connection with rehearsals for the Republic Day Parade on January 16, 17, 19, 20, and 22. 
• The roads around the Kolkata Maidan will remain closed for general traffic including Casuarina Avenue, East and West Hospital Road, Khidderpore Road, Kingsway, Lovers Lane, Plassey Gate Road, Rani Rashmoni Avenue between Government Place East and Government Place West, Red Road, and Queensway from 04:00-09:00 (local time) on the abovementioned days. 
• Additionally, Benoy Badal Dinesh Bag and office bound traffic will be diverted through alternative routes, including Acharya Jagdish Chandra Bose Road, Cathedral Road, Government Place West, Jawaharlal Nehru Road, Kingsway/Auckland, Mayo Road, St. George’s Gate Road, and Strand Road.  
• Southbound vehicles on Red Road coming from the Howrah side are likely to be diverted via Dufferin Road, Esplanade Row East, Jawaharlal Nehru Road, Kingsway, Mayo Road, Outram Road, Rani Rashmoni Avenue, and Strand Road.  
• No goods vehicles will be allowed to ply or stay on St. George’s Gate Road and Strand Road on the days.
