Pakistan Tactical: Traffic restrictions slated between Red Zone, Old Airport areas in Islamabad on February 5-6; allot for disruptions
Current Situation:
- The Islamabad City Police announced road closures in Islamabad on February 5-6, due to the scheduled movement of VIP delegations on main highways between the Red Zone and Old Airport areas.
- The delegation is scheduled to move in these areas between 14:00-16:00 (local time) on February 5 and between 13:30-15:00 on February 6.
- Road closures will be imposed on Expressway from Koral to Zero Point, on Murree Road from Faizabad to Serena, on Srinagar Highway from Zero Point to Jinnah Square, and on Constitution Avenue in the city between 14:30-15:30 (local time) on February 5.
- The authorities have advised commuters to take alternative routes via 3rd and 4th Avenue from Murree Road, 7th Avenue to Suharwardi Road, 9th Avenue, Lehtrar Road-Park Road-Jinnah Avenue-Korang Road to Barakahu, and Embassy Road to Suharwardi Road.
