Israel Alert: IDF instructs citizens to be prepared for possible launches against other parts of Israel, following Hezbollah launches against northern Israel on April 9; continue to be vigilant and adhere to all HFC instructions
Current Situation:
- During the evening hours (local time) of April 9, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) stated that following a situational assessment and in light of launches from Lebanon this morning, the IDF assesses that launches against additional areas in Israel are possible in the coming hours.
- The IDF advised Israel’s residents to remain vigilant and to be able to respond to Home Front Command (HFC) directives.
- There have been no formal changes to HFC regulations as of the time of writing.

- Those operating or residing in Israel are advised to remain aware of the advisory and exercise heightened vigilance and situational awareness.
- Be prepared for potential Hezbollah fire toward more central areas of the country, which could happen on short notice and provide minimal preparation time (contrary to missile fire from Iran).
- Continue monitoring regional developments and promptly adhere to all Home Front Command (HFC) notifications. Ensure that the HFC or other “Color Red” alert applications, such as “Tzofar”, “Tzeva Adom”, or “Cumta-Red Alerts”, are downloaded to receive timely alerts.
