Chile & USA Tactical: Heavy rains prompt evacuations in Chile as heat, floods prompt warnings in USA as of June 13; remain cognizant of authorities’ updates

  • In Chile, the Servicio Nacional de Prevencion y Respuesta ante Desastres (SENAPRED) has issued multiple red alerts, the highest on a three-tier scale, on June 13, due to the threat of overflow of rivers including Rio Blanco in Curacautin, La Araucania; Rio Vergara en Tijeral in Nacimiento, Biobio and Reinaco, La Araucania; and for the Quilque estuary in Los Angeles, Biobio.
