Assessments & Forecast:
The anticipated turnout at the slated demonstrations is expected to be in the range of low-to-mid dozens, based on estimates from previous gatherings as well as the mobilization capabilities of the groups involved. The authorities are liable to heighten security measures in the vicinity of the above-mentioned protest locations, particularly at the Ministry of Defense building and the Prime Minister’s Office, given their sensitive nature. These measures will likely include the deployment of police personnel to monitor the crowd and ensure smooth traffic flow. The protests are expected to proceed peacefully, given precedent. However, localized disruptions to pedestrian and vehicular traffic are anticipated in the vicinity of the aforementioned locations on May 31-June 2.
