• The GENZ212 Movement has called for a demonstration in front of the Ministry of Employment and Social Affairs in Rabat at 11:00 (local time) on December 25.  
• The protest has been organized in solidarity with employees of a textile manufacturing company in Meknes who are facing prolonged labor disputes over unpaid wages and job reinstatement and seeks to demand the reinstatement of dismissed workers as well as the protection of labor rights and employment security.

1. The GENZ212 Movement has led anti-government protests since September, calling for a range of government reforms. Although protest activity temporarily subsided during October–November, the group resumed mobilization earlier this month around several issues. These include perceived government negligence and its failure to prevent casualties during floods in Safi, expressions of solidarity with teachers, and demands for the release of activists arrested during the September protests. This underscores the group’s sustained mobilization capacity and its continued strategy of leveraging diverse socio-economic grievances to maintain pressure on the authorities and reinforce its relevance. 
2. FORECAST: Based on the group’s mobilization capacity, the slated protest will draw turnouts in the high dozens to low hundreds. Heightened sensitivities surrounding socio-economic grievances are expected to prompt an increased security presence near the protest location, increasing the likelihood of scuffles between protesters and security forces. Security forces are likely to implement crowd-control measures, including temporary detentions if protesters are deemed unruly. Localized traffic disruptions are also expected in the vicinity of the Ministry of Employment starting from the morning hours.
