• The activist group Thalugaz has called a demonstration in front of the UN Building, located off Ratchadamnoen Nok Road in Bangkok at 14:00 (local time) on July 2.  
• The demonstration will be in support of neighboring Myanmar’s pro-democracy movement and against the military establishment in Naypyidaw.

The turnout in the slated protest is likely to reach the mid-to-high dozens based on the mobilization capabilities of the group. Authorities are likely to increase security measures around the UN Building, such as personnel deployment and establishment of barricades, given its sensitive nature. Considering this and the anti-government stance of Thalugaz, there exists a latent potential for low-level scuffles between the protesters and the authorities. Localized travel disruptions are expected due to the protest and potential security measures.

Those operating or residing in Bangkok on July 2 are advised to maintain vigilance in the vicinity of the UN Building due to the slated protest while allotting for travel disruptions.
